People should never be separated from their pets.

If you agree, join the community of pet lovers working to ensure people experiencing homelessness and their pets get all the support they need to get off the streets - together.

A pet can be a lifeline to someone sleeping rough, that’s why we’re one of the only charities to accept pets in our accommodations.

A pet can be a source of comfort and protection for someone sleeping rough. Many people are forced to choose between a safe place to sleep and their furry companion, and this means many people sleep in dangerous conditions so they are not separated. This shouldn’t happen.

Here are just some of the ways St Mungo’s takes action to help people who are homeless  and their pets:

- Our frontline teams go out every night meeting people and their pets who are experiencing homelessness, helping them off the streets and where we can into pet-friendly accommodation.

-We take a holistic and people-first approach to support, focusing on the individual’s needs, including supporting their pet.

- With 17 frontline teams we are one of the largest providers of outreach services in the country. We operate a range of accommodation services to help people at every stage of their recovery from homelessness.

People should never be separated from their pets. Agree? Add your name to take action to support people experiencing homelessness and keep best friends together.
